Television Couples

Sometimes we love them more then our own relationships.

A brief summary of some of the best couples on television and why we love them.

Kate and Sawyer are back, Veronica and Logan break up, Sara and Michael have a steamy kiss…Valentine’s Day means there is love in the air on television (if nowhere else). The advent of Cupid’s Day means it’s time to declare The Best Couples on Television (early 2007):

Kate & Sawyer (Lost): Finally Kate made her choice, resulting in some steamy cage sex. Sure, it was cringeworthy knowing that the Others were watching, but who cares when it’s that hot?

Veronica & Logan (Veronica Mars): One of my favorite couples on television even though they seemed destined to be doomed. Maybe V will one day wake up and realize that Logan is who he is, and she’ll have to accept him as such. We’re tired of Logan always being the bad guy. Die-hard LoVe shippers, check out Something-happens.com.

Sara & Michael (Prison Break): They finally admitted they love each other (sort of). Such feelings seem premature, since they’ve known each other only a matter of months and only saw each other once or twice a week. Nevertheless, that kiss was decently steamy, and that heartfelt hug was even better.

Pam & Jim (The Office): Giving hope to office drones everywhere; maybe we can find The One at the next cubicle. This romance is sweetly, well, sweet.

Bones & Booth (Bones): The primary reason to watch this show (sorry Jack and Angela fans). That chemistry, those longing glances, the solid friendship and understanding of each other… don’t ever consummate the relationship! They’re better as is.

Marin & Jack (Men in Trees): A coupling so steamy that it spilled into real life. Jack’s gruff, turtleneck sweater-wearing mountain man wears thin, and his re-coupling with Lynn makes him a weak cad; nevertheless Marin and Jack belong together.

Cristina & Burke (Grey’s Anatomy): How can you not love two people who love each other despite themselves; who continue to communicate and cohabitate even though they aren’t speaking to each other; whose potential romance-ending fight ends in a marriage proposal? Overshadowed by Meredith and McDreamy, McSteamy and anyone, and Isaiah Washington’s misbehavior, this couple is solid.
